Fixed-term is a temporary, contract-based relationship, yet is an employment status within VCS. It is an employment option that allows you to choose what projects or engagements you want to work, manage the length of the engagement, the travel expectations, and still be an employee of a firm. You will be compensated on hourly bases, bi-weekly through our normal payroll processing, to include expense reimbursement. And, you will experience the support of VCS Team, every step of the way. For longer-term projects, three months or more, VCS’ offers access to our benefits such as medical, dental, life and retirement plans.
Although these relationships are contract based, it is our goal to create a long-term relationship with you. And, as you become available or in need of your next project, VCS is at the top of your list to call. Fixed-term may be the best of both worlds for you, it provides flexibility and autonomy yet also assures access to support, communication and infrastructure within VCS.
Hourly with Benefits
Vitalize is pleased to offer a unique plan for people who need benefits but would still like the ability to choose projects. You have access to a set of benefits and they are paid through the negotiated hourly rate for each project. You can experience the best of both worlds; the independence of a contact relationship and access to some of the benefits of a salaried employee.
Employees are eligible for the following benefits when their project contract includes a client commitment of at least three months and at least 30 hours per week:
