WIRELESS CONSULTANT

DESCRIPTION

VCS is looking for an experienced Wireless LAN consultant with significant background designing, configuring and deploying wireless LAN technology as well as expertise in performing network assessments and surveys.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualified candidates Will have:

• Strong background with WLAN and WLAN systems
• LWAPP experience
• Experience with performing network assessments
• Experience with performing site surveys
• Two or more of the following certifications:
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate
  • Cisco Certified Design Associate
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional
  • Cisco Certified Design Professional
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert
  • Cisco Wireless System Engineer
  • Cisco Wireless Field Engineer
  • Cisco Advanced Wireless LAN Design Specialist
  • Cisco Advanced Wireless LAN Field Specialist
  • Planet3 Certified Wireless Network Administrator
  • Planet3 Certified Wireless Network Professional
  • Planet3 Certified Wireless Security Professional
• Experience with three or more of the following protocols/technologies:
  • PEAP
  • LEAP
  • EAP-FAST
  • 802.11a
  • MBSSID
  • 802.11i
  • 802.11e
  • WMM
  • Voice over WLAN
• Experience with three or more of the following protocols/technologies:
  • Cisco Aironet (IOS-based) access points
  • Cisco Wireless LAN Solutions Engine
  • Cisco or Airespace Lightweight access points
  • Cisco Wireless Control System
  • Cisco or other vendors’ wireless bridges
  • Aruba Networks Mobility Controllers and access points
  • Cisco, SpectraLink, Vocera, or other 802.11 wireless phones
  • AirMagnet Analyzer or other WLAN analysis tools
  • AirMagnet Surveyor, Wireless Valley, Ekahau, or other WLAN survey and planning tools
  • AirMagnet, Cognio, or other RF spectrum analysis system
  • Cisco Wireless Location Appliance, Ekahau, Pango, or AeroScout, or other RFID/RFLS system
  • Cisco ACS, Steel-Belted RADIUS, FreeRADIUS, or other RADIUS/TACACS systems other than Microsoft’s IAS

Relocation is NOT necessary, however, weekly travel (Monday – Thursday) is likely.
