Our company culture stems from a genuine respect, commitment and interest in the lives and well
being our employees, their families and the communities we live in. Our involvement with our team
members goes beyond that of traditional corporate environments and we are proud to admit that VCS is a
vibrant, people oriented, enthusiastic organization focused on individual needs. We love to share and
recognize your joy and accomplishments and you can expect our support and sympathies in times of
adversity. In a virtual world, we manage to stay connected through employee newsletters and an annual
Extravaganza. This one of a kind event brings our entire company together for a week of education,
collaboration, bonding and entertainment. At Extravaganza, we distinguish our outstanding employees
with star awards and facilitate education and networking. But don’t just take our word for it, here’s
what our employees and their families have to say about VCS:
“I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU for letting me be part of your wonderful celebration in
DC. Thomas is so lucky, you guys are the best! Vitalize has a heart which so many other organizations
like mine are missing. You are one in a million. Thank you again,”

"When one of my family members passed away, they did not care what the relationship was; they
cared that I got to be with my family for bereavement. This is an awesome company! I can really say
that VCS takes care of its employees."

Before Scott was a VCS Star, he had a remarkable background as an analyst, programmer, software developer,
technical engineer, team lead, and manager but the leap to consulting, he claims, was a product of boredom, and not
that he couldn't hold a job! Starting at Siemens (then Shared Medical Systems), Scott was first introduced to
INVISION®, an application in which he has gained considerable expertise. After working at a dot com and a hospital,
he decided to become a consultant, turning down three juicy offers to become a VCS consultant. With over 17 years of
healthcare IT experience, VCS was thrilled to have him on our team. He admits that the traveling can be arduous, but
upon his return, Scott's wife and son are always waiting with open arms. He loves spending time with his son and the
two of them recently received their gold belts in karate. Scott is also a Star in his wife's eyes, as he never
forgets their wedding anniversary, but how could he forget 09/09/99?

Before Charisse was a VCS star, she was a dedicated clinician and Mom. From nurse to consultant, Charisse
perfected her skills in hospitals, classrooms and corporate environments. After earning her stripes as a nurse and
tending to her family, Charisse went back to school, bringing home a BS and a Master's degree in Healthcare
Management. She was proud to share her educational experience with her children, who enjoyed checking her homework
and torturing her to improve almost perfect grades. When she heard her calling to become a consultant, benefits and
a family atmosphere were top issues in her career search. After years as an invisible corporate worker bee, she says
“I found what I was looking for all along. At VCS, I have been thanked to the point of embarrassment.” She gushes as
she explains that VCS understands the sacrifices consultants make for their families, while they are on the road and
the importance of a healthy work/life balance. She says, “My goal is to arrive smiling and leave my clients smiling.
I couldn't ask for a more wonderful place to work.” And we at VCS couldn't be happier to have her as a part of our
family of VCS stars.
